Project Overview

Pigment School was built on a simple belief: learning should be enjoyable, efficient, and actually prepare designers for the real job market.

The school runs on microlearning and modern teaching methods, short, focused, and built for the way people actually learn today. With a focus on design and AI, and plans to expand across multiple languages and markets, the platform needed more than a logo. It needed a system.

 

So we built one. A complete brand identity that could carry the school’s energy across every format, every language, and every new direction it decides to grow into.

About Pigment School

Pigment is the first tangible element in any visual work. Before form, before composition, before meaning.

Pigment School is not a traditional school. It’s an ecosystem for designers who want to be taken seriously. A place to learn, make mistakes, build real work, and find a path that’s actually yours. Short courses, sharp methods, and a community that grows with you.

Brand Identity
The Visual Identity

The identity had to do two things at once: feel bold enough to stand apart in a crowded education market, and systematic enough to scale across dozens of products and formats.

The ghost mascot became the brand’s most powerful asset. Approachable but not childish, expressive but not chaotic. With over twenty character variants, the ghost carries humor, depth, and personality across every touchpoint.

The visual direction draws from Bauhaus principles: bold geometry, flat color, high contrast, and a belief that every element earns its place.

The color system draws from raw pigments: Orange Red, Golden Yellow, Hot Pink, Sea Green, Sky Blue, Pigment Blue. All saturated, all flat, all intentional. Against a near-black base, they hit with the energy of a Bauhaus poster and the clarity of a Swiss grid.

The Mascot

A ghost with something to say.

The ghost mascot is the brand’s most recognizable asset. Approachable but not childish, expressive but not chaotic. With over twenty variants, it carries humor and personality across every touchpoint.

There’s a quiet irony in the choice. Good design is invisible, it guides, shapes, and moves you without announcing itself. The ghost embodies exactly that.

The P inside the mark is a deliberate nod to Pigment, subtle enough to miss on first glance, intentional enough to reward a second look.

Visual System

A logo and a color palette aren’t enough at this scale. Pigment School needed a full visual language.

The pattern library gives the brand infinite surface coverage, geometric tiles built from the same shapes as the character and iconography. The illustration set puts the ghost in context: studying, building, failing, growing. The category icon system turns course subjects into bold geometric symbols that work at any size.

Every element connects back to the same visual DNA.

The website was designed dark by default, letting the saturated accent colors and bold typography do the work. The mobile experience carries the same energy without compromise.

The UI direction, category icons, and asset library were built as a system that the Pigment School team can extend as new courses, new formats, and new features are added.

Brand in Use

Physical Identity

Pigment School is an online school, but nothing replaces the experience of putting pen to paper. Physical learning has its own rhythm, and the brand honors that.

Custom ID cards, learning packs, bookmarks, stickers, and a collection of bold colorful assets, all built from the same visual system. Tangible pieces of a digital school, designed to be kept, used, and noticed.

Live Experience

Pigment School exists beyond the platform. Live events and workshops bring the brand into physical space, where designers meet, collaborate, and grow together. Bold enough to own a room, flexible enough to work across cities and languages.

The Outcome

A System Built to Scale

Pigment School wasn’t built for where it is today. It was built for where it’s going.

New courses, new markets, new products: the identity system can hold all of it. Every decision, from the ghost’s expressions to the pattern grid, was made with extensibility in mind. Not a brand for one moment, a brand for a career.
